 How do music videos reflect the time in which they were made? Refer to Waterfalls (TLC, 1995) to support your points

Throughout the decades music videos has gotten more advanced, the first music video was created in 1894 by Edward B Marks and Joe stern it was called 'The little lost child' it was made by a series of projected still images accompanied by a live music performance of the song. 

The music video of  Bohemian rhapsody which came out November 20th 1975 by Queen was first shown on TOTP 10 days after filming, as the song climbed the charts and became the band's first US top 10. In the UK, it went on to hit no.1 for 9 ongoing weeks, a record at the time, using lighting, having 70s hair cuts and stage performance footage queen managed to create a 5mins and 55 seconds of masterpiece.

On Saturday 1st August 1981, at 12:01 am Eastern time, MTV was launched with the words "ladies and Gentlemen, rock n roll" spoken by John Lack. played over the footage of the first shuttle launch count down of Columbia (which took place earlier that year) and the launch of Apollo 11.

In 1973 Elvis Presley was to perform a television special called Aloha From Hawaii which was also done as a charity concert for the Kui Lee Cancer fund. It was to be the first ever concert by a solo artist to be aired globally. 

Saturday 13th July 1985 Live aid was a multi-venue benefit 16 hour concert, it was organised by Bob Geldof and Midge Ure to raise famine relief funds for Ethiopia, the concert was held in Wembley stadium and JFK stadium in Philadelphia, it drew an estimated 1.5 million television viewers and raised millions of dollars/pounds.

TLC was a American girl group which was formed in 1990 in Atlanta, Georgia, the group notched nine top 10 hits on the billboard hot 100, including no.1 waterfall. Waterfall was written by Lisa (left eye) Lopez which was released May 29th 1995,The special effects in 'waterfall' were created by the visual design company homer & Associates, which used motion capture technology to generate the images. The song 'waterfall' is about people chasing intangible dreams with no thought of the consequences.' The song tells two tragic ending stories, The first story is about a guy who decides to 'hit the streets' in order to earn money, in resulting of him getting murdered. The second story is about a man who contracts HIV/Aids, eventually dying.

AIDS became the number one cause of death for U.S men aged 25-44 in 1992. In 1999, the world health organization announced that HIV/Aids had became the 4th biggest killer worldwide.
