L/O: To identify the features on a magazine front cover; to explore genre codes &
Masthead: The title of the magazine find this at the top of the front cover
Dateline: the date you will find this next to the Issue no. small above the Title of the magazine. monthly magazine magazine usually hits the news-stands the month before the cover date
Main image: covering the whole magazine to make it interesting for the reader
Coverlines: usually found on the right side of the magazine to make it the reader understand whats in the magazine
main cover line: bolder writing on the left hand side promotes what the main feature will be. it usually coincides with the main image
bar code/price: its at the bottom of the page on the back so that the person who wants to buy it knows how much it would cost and the bar code is for the shop worker to scan it. standard bar code used by retailers,displayed on UK magazines since 1988. will often include publication dateline and price.
tagline/strapline: tagline: to create a memorable dramatic phase that will sum up the tone and premise. short,sharp
strapline: a headline beneath the main headline, written in a smaller font, and used to give the reader further teaser information about the article
Pull quote: made up of text that is pulled from the text that is, duplicated and presented on the page as an attention-grabbing visual element. taken from the feature article inside
