LO: To analyse a media text using Media Language

 

what camera shot is this?

medium long shot (cowboy shot)

why do you think they've chosen this shot type?

so you can see the object that he's holding (a gun)  and you can see the strap that is around is leg/thigh

What do the  following  tell us about the film, character or possible narrative:

• clothing

he's wearing causal clothing so he could be undercover

he's wearing gloves which could mean he's secretive

• props

he's holding a gun which could suggest that its an action movie 

• Facial expression

he's being serious so he might be in a serious situation or a serious job

• Background

the background is gold so it could mean he's wealthy

•  motobike engine 

to give the tailer more action

• car drifting 

the speed he's going (he's going fast)

•  gun shots

it give's a very dramatic scene 

• fade to black
• to show different settings
• it got quicker and the blackout got shorter and near the end it got slower and the blackout got longer to create far more excitement.

In the TENET trailer they used reverse edits to show that he either has powers or to show reverse flashback to the beginning 

In the Dune trailer, Edit is used effectively to show different scenes in the movie for example, across the whole trailer they would cut out different parts of scenes and joined the with other scenes to make the viewers show there,something building up
